The retiring director of IPFW’s Community Research Institute received Indiana’s top honor during a surprise party Tuesday at Parkview Field, the university announced.Police this morning were serving a search warrant at the home of former Bishop Luers football coach Matt Lindsay.
No further information was immediately available.
Last week, the Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend announced it had terminated Lindsay -- who originally said he'd taken a leave from the team for personal reasons -- because inappropriate videos featuring students and others were found on his school computer.
The Allen County Sheriff's Department is investigating whether the videos on Lindsay's computer warrant criminal charges.
The videos were found Sept. 12, Lindsay was fired Sept. 14. The Allen County Sheriff's Department said it received a report about the videos Sept. 18, but the diocese says it left a voicemail message at the sheriff's department earlier than that.
