Fez is back

Guess who was in the net for the Komets at their informal practice today? Gerry Festa, who was with the team last season, going 6-4-3 with a 2.98 goals-against average and a .902 save percentage.

Not to mention the best post-shootout victory dance we've ever seen. (See the 1:29 mark of this video.)

I'm told he will be with the Komets for the start of training camp, but the Komets haven't yet announced their full roster. With Charlie Effinger and Kenny Reiter starting off in American Hockey League camps, Festa has a good shot of impressing in preseason and either sticking here for awhile or getting a look from another team.
