A Kia flipped on its top and was engulfed in flames during a crash Saturday morning that resulted in three counts of driving while intoxicated, but no serious injuries.
The DeKalb County Sheriff's Department said Adam A. Cox, 26, of Keesler Street in Spencerville, was driving north on County Road 35 about 7:35 a.m. when the car went left of center and overturned north of County Road 72.
His blood-alcohol content tested at 0.20 percent, about 2.5 times the legal limit to drive in Indiana, according to a written statement issued by the department. It said Cox told police that he was upset after a fight with the passenger.
Both had minor injuries, the statement said.
