Police: Road rage leads to shooting in Ohio

DELAWARE, Ohio (AP) — Police say a pickup truck driver has been shot following a road rage incident with a motorcyclist that lasted at least 14 miles.

Interim Delaware Police Chief Bruce Pijanowski says the truck driver has been flown to a hospital in Columbus for treatment, but is expected to live.

Pijanowski tells The Columbus Dispatch that police don't know what started the dispute between the motorists on Sunday afternoon in Union County northwest of Dublin. But he says they ended up near an Auto Zone store in Delaware where the motorcyclist pointed a gun at the pickup truck driver and fired it.

The motorcyclist was taken into custody at the scene but no charges have been filed. Police are still investigating the shooting.
