In a Monday debate with Sen. Scott Brown, R-Mass., Democratic candidate Elizabeth Warren was asked to name a Republican senator she could work with.
“Oh, I think probably Richard Lugar would be one that would come to mind,” Warren told debate moderator David Gregory of NBC’s “Meet the Press.”
“He’s not going to be there,” Gregory said about Lugar, the six-term incumbent who was defeated by Richard Mourdock in the Indiana primary election.
“He’s not going to be there,” Warren agreed as audience members laughed. “That is a problem.”
