Sex-case guilty plea may cut prison stay

By signing a plea agreement, a 20-year-old Fort Wayne man may avoid prison time for having sex with a 14-year-old girl.

Michael Doucet, of the 9200 block of Blazing Woods Trail, pleaded guilty in Allen Superior Court on Friday to one count of sexual misconduct with a minor, according to court documents.

He was accused of having sex with the girl this past November when he was 19, according to the documents. Charged with two felony counts of sexual misconduct with a minor, Doucet entered a guilty plea to one of those counts.

In exchange, Allen County prosecutors recommend he be sentenced to a three-year suspended sentence and given four years of probation, according to court documents.

Doucet is scheduled to be sentenced at the end of the month.
