Air National Guard Airman Matthew J. Anderson graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.
Anderson completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.
Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
Anderson is the son of Sharon and Dewayne Anderson of Huntington. He is a 2006 graduate of Columbia City High School, Columbia City, and earned an associate degree in 2011 from Ivy Tech Community College, Fort Wayne.
