FORT WAYNE – Several streets are scheduled for resurfacing work beginning early next week.

The Fort Wayne Traffic Engineering Department announced Thursday that this is the schedule for the contractor, Wayne Asphalt, to begin the work at each site:

• Monday: Calhoun Street from Paulding Road to Maple Grove Avenue.
• Tuesday: Sherman Boulevard from Coliseum Boulevard to Trick Avenue; Wells Street from Lima Road to Louisedale Drive; St. Marys Avenue from State Boulevard to Goshen Road.

Work includes milling, asphalt binder, asphalt surfacing and pavement markings. Each site is expected to take one or two weeks to complete, weather permitting.

Two-way traffic will be maintained at all times, the announcement said. Drivers are urged to seek alternate routes because delays and congestion are expected.
