Murphy out for Columbia City

Columbia City senior receiver/defensive back Jared Murphy won't play in the final two games of the regular season, according to coach Randy Hudgins.

Hudgins wrote in an email, "Jared is most likely out for the season with a fractured fibula (non-weight bearing bone in lower leg). If we do get him back it will be during the playoffs."

Murphy was injured late in a 28-27 loss to New Haven two weeks ago and missed the team's 79-7 loss at East Noble last Friday.

Murphy is a Miami of Ohio recruit.

The Eagles (3-4, 2-3 NHC) lost running back Adam Neely to a season-ending injury in early September.
