Interesting game

Francois Lacerte could be the first and last Komets goaltender in history to have his last save with the team be on a penalty shot.

He stopped Evansville's Josh Beaulieu on a penalty shot in the second period at Memorial Coliseum, and then he was replaced by Larkin Saalfraank, the native of Fort Wayne and IPFW netminder.

Lacerte stopped 11 shots in this scoreless game but with Charlie Effinger and Kenny Reiter here, barring injury, he won't make the team.

The player who has stood out to me for the Komets tonight is Brandon Marino. He's had some great chances, and hits a lot, but he's also turned the puck over a few times. He will be a lot like Bobby Stewart.
