The American people will not be fooled again by President Obama. The saying goes, Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me!
Informed, patriotic Hispanic Americans know that in 2008 the Democratic Party had majorities in the House and Senate. Yet, with these majorities, they did not pass immigration-reform legislation. Promises by Obama to have immigration reform are not believable.
Informed, patriotic black Americans remember Martin Luther King’s I Have a Dream speech, where King asked that people be judged by the content of their character and not the color of their skin. Obama campaigned for fiscal responsibility, as one who would care about all Americans (not just his supporters), and to be the most transparent administration. All have been false, broken promises. His actions show a vital flaw of credibility in his character.
Informed, patriotic independents remember the promise of hope and change but didn’t know that Obama meant changing America to an oppressive, socialistic government limiting our personal liberties. We have seen a government of czars and executive orders, bypassing congressional authority.
Informed, patriotic college-aged students know that the profligate spending by this administration will result in economic slavery for generations to come. In 2008, Obama promised to reduce the deficit by half; instead his administration increased the deficit by $6 trillion.
Informed patriotic Christians know our president says he is a Christian but his actions demonstrate a hostility to our faith.
The American people have seen the president dither in the gulf oil spill crisis, sign nationalized health care against the will of the people, do nothing about the financial crisis of debt, and become involved in a Libyan civil war without congressional approval.
We need a president who can be trusted and knows the value of freedom and opportunity this country offers its citizens. One who understands the principles of liberty, capitalistic and economic prosperity and is proud to be an American with no apologies. With a consistent unemployment rate greater than 8 percent, a $16 trillion national debt, an economic policy resulting in inflationary food and gas prices, new confiscatory middle class taxes coming in January 2013, the American people will not be fooled again.
America, we can do better than this. Our parents gave us a better America, and we need to do the same for our progeny. Obama should not be given a second term. Your vote does have consequences.
