After a long, hot, dry summer, fall is starting to get us back where we belong. Its a slow process, but it is happening.
September ended with temperatures about a degree-and-a-half below normal and a rain total that was almost an inch above normal.
If it feels like its been a long time since we had a month with both below-normal temperatures and above-normal precipitation, there is a reason for that.
The last time it happened was September of last year.
Weather wise: While the normal high is still close to 70, there is no sign of hitting 70 again in the near future. As the month goes by, it will become far less likely. The normal high by Halloween is in the 50s.
