A golf outing to benefit J.C. Hulls, the father of Indiana basketball players Jordan and Kaila Hulls, will take place Oct. 20 at Eagle Pointe Golf Resort in Bloomington. J.C. Hulls was diagnosed with cancer in his tonsils in May. The event, “Swing for a Cure,” begins with a shotgun start at 10:30 a.m. The cost is $200 per player or $800 for a team of four. Participants will be paired with a former IU basketball player or a local celebrity. An auction and light meal will follow. Hole sponsorship is also available for $250. Payments for sponsoring a hole need to arrive in Bloomington by Monday, Oct. 15. Those payments can be sent to the Hulls Foundation P.O. Box 5064, Bloomington, IN 47404. To register or for more information, contact Tim Alexander at 260-385-8034.
