Carroll extends streaks

The Carroll girls cross country team is easily outdistancing its boys counterparts in terms of a sectional title winning streak.

The girls team has won 13 straight sectional championships, while the boys have won two straight.

The girls have won every sectional title since 2000.

"The girls all know about it and want to keep it going," Carroll girls and boys coach Zach Raber said. "The boys teams around here in cross country are really talented, so it's harder."

Carroll's girls streak is 12 off Carmel's run of 25 in a row from 1981-2005.

The Charger girls have won 11 straight regional titles. This year's regional is Saturday at West Noble.
