And so, finally, the endgame to the whole sordid Jerry Sandusky affair.
I didn't think it was possible, but it got even sadder today.
How else to describe Sandusky's pathetic, self-absolving statement to first a radio host and then the court, lashing out at his victims and casting himself as the victim of Penn State, the court system and -- wait for it -- the media.
(Which was the only part of his statement that wasn't particularly shocking, at least to me. Sooner or later they all get around to blaming the media).
Anyway, Sandusky's entire statement was a masterpiece of delusion, and reinforced the conventional wisdom that the man is deeply, deeply disturbed.
He needs help. Hopefully, in the next 30 years, he'll get some.
