New library books

The following new home improvement books are available at the Shawnee Branch of the Allen County Public Library.

“The Versatile Shed” by Chris Gleason

If you have a small patch of earth and any desire to have space for yourself (or your stuff), or even guests, this is for you. Designs inspire your inner artist, musician or sports aficionado.

“Chic- ken Coops – 45 Building Ideas for Housing Your Flock” by Judy Pangam

The sub-title sums this one up –“Suitable for all Flocks, from Backyard to Small Farm, including: Hoop Houses, A-Frames, Converted Sheds, Mobile Units and Pastured Poultry Models.” There are suggestions here for all sizes of flocks in all kinds of environments.

“The Complete Illustrated Guide to Furniture & Cabinet Construction” by Andy Rae

Inspiration and instructions on how to make spaces to hold things – cabinets, drawers and shelves, among other things. Beautifully illustrated in color.

“Fresh American Spaces: Romantic, Nuanced, Happy, Cultured, Exuberant” by Annie Selke

After perusing this book one comes away with a sense of one’s own style. Each style is distinctive in it use of color and design.
