Just a few short moments of celebration and the Heritage football team already had Lakeland on the mind.
The Patriots (7-2) had just finished a 56-20 win over Garrett that gave them a share of the ACAC conference championship Friday when the Lakers (8-1) came up.
"Lakeland is an outstanding football team, and we will have our hands full. But we will go back to work (today)," Heritage coach Dean Lehrman said of the team's first-round sectional opponent next Friday.
Not only did the big win over the Railroaders give the program a piece of the ACAC title for the first time in six years, but there is a push in the regular-season finale.
"This will be great momentum for us," senior running back Wil Knapke said. "We will keep this rolling."
