Komets lose opener

Brandon Marino had the only goal for the Komets -- during a third-period power play -- and they lost their first game in the ECHL, 4-1 to the Kalamazoo Wings at Memorial Coliseum.

In the Komets' last three regular-season openers, they have been outscored 13-1 and lost all three.
