Fall sampling events this weekend

This weekend, shoppers can stop by The Fresh Market (6306 W. Jefferson Blvd.) to sample any number of fresh, fall-themed treats: apple cider, honeycrisp apples (also known as: the greatest apples on the planet, for the uninitiated), plus myriad pumpkin-based baked goods, from pumpkin chocolate chip pound cake and pumpkin spice almonds to pumpkin spice coffee and pumpkin pretzels.

Stop by between 1 and 6 p.m. Saturday or Sunday to catch The Fresh Market's flavor of fall.

Tonight, Lebamoff's Cap n' Cork (5430 Coldwater Road) is holding a beer, wine and liquor tasting with a fall twist.

The tasting will include 15 beers (including three ciders and four pumpkin beers, with one brew dipping in each category: Woodchuck Pumpkin Cider); seven liquors (two pumpkin pies and an apple flavor); and five wines.

The tasting runs from 5 to 7 p.m.
