Purdue trails at halftime

Wisconsin leads Purdue 17-7 at halftime Saturday at Ross-Ade Stadium.

The game probably shouldn't be that close.

The Badgers have 363 yards of offense. Purdue has 118, 52 of which came on the team's first play of scrimmage.

Montee Ball has rushed for 126 yards for the Badgers. Wisconsin tight end Jacob Pedersen has four catches for 77 yards.

Ball scored on a 3-yard run to give the Badgers a 14-7 lead with 10:19 left in the second quarter. Kyle French made a 30-yard field goal to extend Wisconsin's lead to 17-7 with 4:47 to go.

The Badgers have missed two field goals.

Purdue quarterback Caleb TerBush is 5 of 12 for 78 yards and one interception. Robert Marve is 3 of 9 for 43 yards. He's been sacked twice.

Purdue has negative-3 rushing yards. The Boilermakers have 13 carries. Ralph Bolden returned from a knee injury suffered at the end of last season. He did not gain any yards on his one carry.
