Time set of ND-Oklahoma game; Irish players collected awards

Notre Dame will have another prime-time matchup in two weeks.

The No. 5 Irish (6-0) will play No. 10 Oklahoma (4-1) at 8 p.m. Oct. 27 at Norman, Okla., and the game will be televised on ABC, the network announced today.

Notre Dame has already played three night games this season, defeating Michigan State, Michigan and Miami.

Irish linebacker Manti Te'o, safety Matthias Farley and kicker Kyle Brindza also collected individual awards today.

Te'o was named the Lott IMPACT player of the week for the third time this season after his 11-tackle performance in Saturday's 20-13 overtime victory against Stanford. The senior is the second player to win the weekly honor three times in one season, joining Wisconsin's J.J. Watt.

Farley was named the independent defensive player of the week. The sophomore had eight tackles, one for a loss, and returned his first career interception 49 yards against the Cardinal.

Brindza was named the independent special teams player of the week. The sophomore connected on field goals of 29 and 22 yards, and all four of his kickoffs resulted in touchbacks.
