Local woman crowned Miss Indiana USA

Emily Hart of Fort Wayne was named Miss Indiana USA 2013 on Sunday.

Hart was crowned after a two-day competition of swimsuit, evening gown and interviews at Renaissance North Hotel in Carmel, according to a statement from Miss USA Pageant officials.

Hart is a graduate of IPFW, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in interior design. She is the daughter of Dennis and Louise Hart of Fort Wayne.

Rohma Siddiqui of Fort Wayne placed fifth in the pageant.

Zoe Parker of Fort Wayne placed third for Miss Indiana Teen USA 2013, and Toree Brown of Garrett came in fifth. The winner was Darrian Arch of Chesterton.
