The Dish

  • Deli 620 preparing new home
Lindi Miller is, by nature, a happy person, but she’s just a little bit happier right now.
  • Area restaurants plan specials for Easter
Easter is late this year – April 20 – and still I feel like it’s sneaking up on me. I have nary an item for baskets and have yet to pin a ham recipe (or bunny cake) on my Pinterest board.
  • Duty’s space to become Scotty’s
After three years and two other possible locations, Scott Wise has inked a deal to bring Scotty’s Brewhouse to Fort Wayne. The restaurant will move into 6282 W. Jefferson Blvd.

Blaine Stuckey, president of Mad Anthony Brewing Co., displays some of the beers his company brews. They're "a local product for local people," he says.

Judges at Denver's Great American Beer Festival, held Thursday through Saturday, singled out a Fort Wayne brewer with a gold medal.

Mad Anthony Brewing Co. (1109 Taylor St.) received a gold medal in the Fruit Wheat Beer category for its Ruby Raspberry Wheat, being judged against 37 other entries.

According to the festival's website, a gold metal denotes "a world-class beer that accurately exemplifies the specified style, displaying the proper balance of taste, aroma and appearance."

Mad Anthony last took home a medal in 1999, when its Auburn beer won a silver medal in American-Style Amber Lager.
