Indiana men's basketball coach Tom Crean was selected preseason Big Ten Coach of the Year, while sophomore Cody Zeller was named preseason Player of the Year and Kevin Ferrell was named preseason Freshman of the Year by CollegeSportsMadness.com.

Zeller, along with senior Christian Watford were named preseason First Team All-Big Ten, while junior Victor Oladipo earned fourth team honors.
