IU is No. 1 in preseason coaches' poll

Indiana is the top-ranked team in the country in the USA Today Sports preseason coaches' poll.

The Hoosiers received 21 first-place votes. Louisville is No. 2 and Kentucky is No. 3. Both schools received five first-place votes.

The Hoosiers return their top five scorers from last year's team, which reached the Sweet 16. Indiana also added one of the top recruiting classes in the country.

Other Big Ten teams in the preseason rankings are No. 4 Ohio State, No. 5 Michigan, No. 14 Michigan State and No. 21 Wisconsin.

The Associated Press top 25 preseason poll will be released next week.
