Blitz rounds up drug suspects


A drug warrant blitz in Kosciusko and Elkhart counties conducted Wednesday resulted in 13 arrests.

The Kosciusko County Drug Task Force, along with officers from Syracuse, North Webster, Milford, and the Elkhart City Drug Task Force arrested the following people on the listed charges:

  • Casey James Louden, 25, Pierceton; felony dealing/delivering methamphetamine; $50,000 bond.
  • Catherine L. Schmidt, 40, Warsaw; two felony counts of dealing schedule III controlled substance; $50,000 bond.
  • Marshall B. Slone, 32, Claypool; felony dealing in schedule I controlled substance; $50,000 bond.
  • Richard J. Mackensworth, 49, Milford; felony dealing in schedule I, II, & III controlled substance; $50,000 bond.
  • Brenda Kae Mackensworth, 42, Milford; felony dealing in schedule IV controlled substance; $20,000 bond.
  • Amber Marie Engle, 26, Claypool; felony possession of a schedule I, II, III, or IV controlled substance; no bond set.
  • John Wayne Clark, 41, Claypool; felony dealing schedule III controlled substance; $50,000 bond.
  • Jimmy Lee Burchett, 49, Warsaw; felony possession of marijuana over 30 grams; $10,000 bond.
  • Willie D. Williams, 30, Elkhart; felony dealing and felony possession of methamphetamine; $50,000 bond.
  • Teresa Sue Hall, 39, Warsaw; felony dealing in schedule I, II, or II controlled substance; $50,000 bond.
  • Jamey I. Besemann, 32, Milford; felony dealing in a schedule I, II, or III controlled substance and habitual substance offender; $50,000 bond.
While Kosciusko deputies were taking part in the warrant blitz, they conducted a traffic stop near the area of Indiana 13 and County Road 125 South, where they arrested James O. Sayler, 35, and Donal Edward Weber, 27, both of Winona Lake, on felony charges of possession of a schedule IV controlled substance, according to a statement about the drug blitz. Each has a $2,000 bond.

The county drug task force reports that outstanding drug warrants remain on the following individuals -- Jamie E. Sparks, 26, Elkhart; Thomas Wayne Yoder, 48, Milford; Michelle B. Miller, 44, Milford; Jennifer Ormsby, 31, Larwill; Codie L. J. Pierce, 21, Warsaw; and Chelesa R. Baldwin, 24, Warsaw.
