Don't look now, Blobophiles (and, sadly, considering the subject matter, it's a pretty safe bet a lot of you won't), but your Indiana Fever is on the verge of doing something that hasn't been done in these parts in 40 years.
With their blowout win over the Minnesota Lynx last night, they're one win away from winning the first professional basketball title in this state since the Pacers of McGinnis and Roger Brown and Mel Daniels and the ABA.
The Fever leads the best-of-five finals two games to one.
And if you're breaking out an exaggerated fake yawn over that, know this: There are more than a few people who care. A sellout crowd of 18,165 showed up at Bankers Life Fieldhouse for Game 3, and expect the same tomorrow for Game 4.
