Parcel pickup nets pot haul, 1 arrest

A Fort Wayne man was arrested Friday after he was caught with about 2 pounds of marijuana delivered to a north-side home, police said.

Fort Wayne police vice and narcotics officers conducted a controlled delivery of the marijuana to a house in the 2600 block of Jacobs Creek Run, near North Clinton Street and St. Joe Center Road.

Anthony Young, 31, picked up the package from the house and left the home, police said. Police found the marijuana during a traffic stop.

Young, of the 1200 block of Wabash Avenue, was taken to the Rousseau Centre downtown for questioning and was later arrested, police said.

He is charged with felony dealing marijuana and was expected to be released on his own recognizance.
