Coney dog sales to help K-9 dogs

A Fort Wayne restaurant is donating a portion of Saturday’s sales to benefit an important tool of the trade for Indiana State Police troopers – their dogs.

Dawson’s Famous Coney Dogs, on Lima Road near Dupont Road, will host an all-day fundraising event to benefit the Indiana State Police District 22 K-9 Fund. The restaurant is open from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and will donate 20 percent of the day’s proceeds to help support the local K-9 team. There also will be K-9 demonstrations throughout the day.
