Troy Williams, a top-40 recruit from Oak Hill Academy in Mount of Wilson, Va., made an oral commitment to play basketball for Indiana Sunday.
"Just committed to Indiana! #HoosierNation!" Williams wrote on Twitter.
Williams, a 6-foot-6 forward, is ranked No. 37 nationally for the Class of 2013, according to Rivals.com. He is ranked the No. 9 small forward in the nation, according to Rivals.com.
North Carolina was among the other schools in the running for Williams, according to multiple reports.
Williams is the fifth member of IU's class of 2013. He is the highest rated among the group.
He joins guard Stanford Robinson (ranked No. 50 nationally and 14th among shooting guards by Rivals.com), center Luke Fischer (ranked No. 115 nationally, 15th among his position) and forwards Devin Davis (ranked 120th nationally and No. 22 at small forward) and Collin Hartman.
