Creek paces Hoosiers in exhibition win

Maurice Creek scored 12 points as No. 1 Indiana defeated Indiana Wesleyan 86-57 in an exhibition Thursday at Assembly Hall.

Cody Zeller, Will Sheehey and Christian Watford each scored 11 points. Victor Oladipo added 10 points.

Creek, Sheehey and Remy Abell provided a spark off the bench for IU, which trailed early in the game.

The Hoosiers actually trailed 28-27 with 6:10 left in the half. But Indiana closed the half on a 14-2 run to take a 41-30 lead into halftime.

Eleven players scored for the Hoosiers.

Kevin "Yogi" Ferrell had eight points, four rebounds and four assists. Abell finished with seven points and three assists.

Patrick Hopkins led Indiana Wesleyan with 14 points. Zac Vandewater, who went to Whitko, finished with five points and three rebounds.

IU opens the regular season against Bryant on Nov. 9 at Assembly Hall.
