    The IPFW women's soccer team (1-6) fell 3-0 at Oxford, Ohio to Miami. Kelsey Dinges scored for the RedHawks in the 25th minute from a free kick deflection to give the hosts a one-goal advantage at halftime.

Saurin named coach of the year

IPFW women's soccer coach Margaret Saurin was named the Summit League Coach of the Year, the league announced Thursday.

Saurin, in her sixth season, led the Mastodons to a 9-7-1 overall record and a No. 2 seed in the Summit League tournament in Brookings, S.D., where IPFW was to face North Dakota State in the opening round.

In addition to Saurin's honor, senior Tylar Allison was named to the All-Summit League first team. Seniors Danielle Bishop, Arianne Mason, and Rhea Proctor were named to the second team. Also, Rachel Good, Erin Gill and Sam Pavlika were each named to the All-Newcomer Team.
