After quarreling with the driver of a Jeep, a passenger exited the moving vehicle and was struck and killed by a car that had been following a short distance behind Sunday morning, Fort Wayne police said.

Officers were called about 1:30 a.m. to North Clinton and Grove streets in reference to a person struck by a vehicle.

Police found an adult male lying on Clinton Street. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Witnesses reported that a Jeep was southbound on Clinton when the driver and front-seat passenger became involved in an argument, police said. The passenger got out of the moving Jeep and fell onto the street.
