Golson, who has been named the independent offensive player of the week three times this season, led the No. 4 Irish back from a 14-point deficit in Saturday's 29-26 triple-overtime win over Pittsburgh.

Golson threw for 227 yards with two touchdowns and an interception, and he ran for 74 yards. He scored on a two-point conversion to send the game into overtime and scored the winning touchdown on a one-yard run in the third overtime.

Notre Dame's men's basketball team will tip off at 2 p.m. Saturday against Evansville in Purcell Pavilion. It is the season opener for the No. 22 Irish.

The football team is scheduled to play at Boston College at 8 p.m. Saturday.
