18-year-old woman killed by crash is identified

An early morning crash claimed the life of an 18-year-old New Haven woman.

The Allen County Coroner's Office said Amelia Kate Castleman was in a crash shortly after 1 a.m. Monday in the 11400 block of North River Road. It said she was alone in the in the vehicle, was not wearing a restraint at the time of the crash and was ejected.

Castleman was pronounced dead a short time after arriving at a Fort Wayne hospital, and her death has been declared an accident.
