I was out feature-hunting this morning and as I drove down Superior Street, I saw a long line of early voters. I parked and walked around looking for a tight shot of cold breath or something weather-related.

We have shot early voting a couple times already, so I wanted a different take on just long lines. As I was walking up, Shaton peeked around the corner and gasped that the line was that long. He talked about his car being blocks away and that he probably didn't have enough in the meter already. We laughed a bit and then he saw someone he recognized in line. He went over to talk to him and then started running back towards me.

I fired some frames, keeping the line as much in as possible. The light was bad, so I shot tight to keep as much of the over-exposed background out as possible. I stopped him and asked him if he was sticking to his plan by putting more money in the meter and coming back to vote and he said yes, "I might as well put the rest of this change in there."
