Armed Robbery Investigation, Part 1

On Friday, November 2, 2012 at approximately 8:22 p.m. the City of Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the Walgreens located at 1701 E. Paulding Road reference a report of an armed robbery. It was reported that a male subject entered the store, approached the cashier at the counter, displayed a handgun, and demanded cash from the register. The suspect then fled the store on foot, westbound, through the parking lot. No injuries were reported at the scene. Suspect Description: male/black, mid-thirties in age, approximately 6‚??5‚?Ě; last seen wearing glasses, a ball cap, brown hooded sweatshirt, and black pants. Investigators have obtained video footage from in-store surveillance and are seeking the public‚??s assistance in identifying the suspect. Anyone knowing the identity or whereabouts of the suspect in the images or video is asked to contact the City of Fort Wayne Police Department at (260) 427-1222 or CrimeStoppers at (260) 436-STOP (7867). This incident remains under investigation with the City of Fort Wayne Police Department, and the Allen County Prosecuting Attorney‚??s Office.
