One day, Arnel Davis was a paying customer; two days later, he was an armed robber, court documents allege.
Davis, 24, and an unidentified second man are suspected of robbing a pizza deliveryman in a Fort Wayne apartment building early Oct. 30. The deliveryman recognized Davis as a customer who had paid for a pizza two days before at the same building, court documents said.
During that first encounter, the deliveryman saw, sitting on a couch, the same long-barreled revolver that Davis used during the robbery, court documents stated.
When the deliveryman returned two days later, the second man grabbed him, shoved him against a wall and demanded his money. Meanwhile, Davis pointed a revolver at him. The two robbers took about $15, a cellphone and a pizza from the deliveryman, court papers stated.
In an interview with police, Davis denied any involvement. He faces a robbery charge in connection with the holdup.
Davis, of the 2100 block of Eden Street, was arrested this week on allegations that he shot and seriously wounded a man in September. He was in custody Friday at the Allen County Jail, with a bail of $50,750.
