Remember last week, when the Blob said the Sprint Cup was pretty much Jimmie Johnson's to lose now that he had wrested the lead from Brad Keselowski with two races left in the Chase?
Well .... ahem.
Johnson did indeed all but lose it out in the desert Sunday, crashing at Phoenix and finishing 32nd. Keselowski, meanwhile, finished a steady sixth. That sends Kes to the finale at Homestead next week with a virtually insurmountable 20-point lead.
Well, unless he crashes, that is, and Johnson puts up a solid top-five. Which, as we saw today, could happen.
And so: Now the Cup is Keselowski's to lose.
