Garage fire quickly extinguished

Firefighters Tuesday afternoon quickly extinguished a fire in an unattached garage, the Fort Wayne Fire Department said.

No one was at home at the time, and no one was injured, the fire department said in a statement.

Firefighters were called to 333 W. Fleming shortly after 1 p.m. and found fire coming from the garage, the statement said. It was controlled in 12 minutes.

The garage sustained heavy fire, water and smoke damage, the statement said. The fire remains under investigation.
