Couple arrested after police find pot

Police found a marijuana-growing operation in a Syracuse home Monday, leading to charges against two residents, the Syracuse Police Department said.

Officers discovered marijuana plants growing in a bedroom and in a closet of another bedroom of the home at 212 Edgewater Drive.

Police did not specify the number of plants in the home. Officers also found glass jars that contained marijuana. Paula Niles, 53, and Lester Niles, 60, who both live at the home, each face a felony charge of growing over 30 grams of marijuana.
