When: 7:30 p.m. today
Where: Memorial Coliseum
Records: IPFW 0-1, Rochester 6-1
Radio: 1380 AM
IPFW leaders: Frank Gaines (32 ppg.), Joe Reed (10 rpg.), Reed, Pierre Bland (3 apg.)
Rochester leaders: Dramell Hogan (17.7 ppg.), Hogan (8.0 rpg.), Zef Deda (3.2 apg.)
Key matchup: Wholl guard Frank Gaines? The 6-foot-4 senior guard from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., scored a career-high 32 points in IPFWs season-opening loss at Auburn. Because he is long and athletic and has the ability to take the ball to the rim, Gaines will be a matchup problem for most teams this season in the Summit League.
The skinny: This will be Rochesters eighth game. It played Lawrence Technological University on Monday night. The team from Rochester Hills, Mich., lost at Kent State, 77-71. Before Mondays game, it averaged 77.3 points per game, while defensively, it allowed 50.7 points. The team also had 90 steals in its first seven games, led by Stavros Schizas, whose 18 steals leads the NAIA Division II.
