The Komets looked good late.
But it was too late.
They lost 2-1 to the Toledo Walleye at Memorial Coliseum, after giving up two power-play goals -- one after Daniel Maggio took a major penalty for cross-checking, the other after Lincoln Kaleigh Schrock got called for diving.
The Komets' only goal came from Colin Chaulk, after the goalie had been pulled, and the Komets had several late chances to force overtime.
Fort Wayne has lost two in a row.
This is its first loss in three games against the Walleye.
