Help sought to ID drugstore robber

Fort Wayne police are asking for the public's help in identifying an armed robber who took painkillers from a pharmacy on the city's northeast side.

The robber went into the Walgreens at 2410 Coliseum Blvd. N. at 10:19 p.m. Tuesday and showed the pharmacist a note demanding fentanyl and methadone. No injuries were reported, police said.

The robber is described as in his 20s and white with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a black hooded jacket and a black baseball cap with a silver sticker on it and white writing.

Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call the police department at 427-1222 or Crime Stoppers at 436-7867. A cash reward is possible.
