On a chilly, overcast night, the Wayne boys track team won its first team title since 1996 Thursday at the Wayne Regional.The host Generals had 80 points to slip past runner-up Carroll’s 75.FORT WAYNE – Taylor Seiss scored a school-record 42 points to lead Leo to a 76-41 victory over New Haven at the Lions’ gym.
The 5-foot-6 senior guard hit 15 of 20 shots from the floor, including 8 of 12 from three-point range. She also went 4 for 4 from the free-throw line.
The Lions (1-1) built a 32-22 halftime lead but erupted for 34 third-quarter points to take a 66-30 lead going into the final period.
Keanna Gary added 20 points for Leo.
