Thanksgiving weather

As you know, weather is always subject to change, but right now it looks as if we are in for a nice and unique Thanksgiving.

In recent years, Thanksgiving has not been a sunny, nice holiday around these parts, but that could very well change this year.

It looks as if temperatures for this year will be in the mid-50s, and the last time that happened was Thanksgiving 2001.

In fact, since then we’ve had only one Thanksgiving Day hit 50 degrees. That was 2006 with a high of exactly 50.

Even last year, with the winter that wasn’t, we failed to hit 50 on Turkey Day.

Weather wise: While we haven’t seen much snow on recent Thanksgivings, four of the past eight have had some snowfall. Among those, only 2004 produced measurable snowfall with a total of 0.6 inch.
