Headwaters ice rink opens

The Headwaters Park outdoor ice skating rink opened Sunday for its 10th season. This year’s season lasts through March 4 and the cost is $3 for children 13 and younger, $5 for children 14 and older and adults. Skate rental is $2, but you may use your own skates. Every Wednesday from Nov. 28 through Feb. 27 skating for children 13 and younger will be free. Parking is free.

The rink’s hours are 1 to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday; noon to 10 p.m. Friday; 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and noon to 8 p.m. Sunday. The Lincoln Financial Group is the corporate sponsor for the season.

Extended holiday hours, from Dec. 21 to Jan. 5 will be noon to 10 p.m. Monday to Friday; 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday; and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday. The rink is closed Christmas day and will close at 6 p.m. Dec. 24, Christmas Eve.
