On the one hand, here is USC redshirt freshman quarterback Max Wittek stumbling into the ultimate no-he-didn't moment by telling the media he didn't care what USC's game plan was, he was just "gonna play within myself, within the system, and we're gonna win this ballgame."

Ouch.

On the other hand, however ....

Well, here come those evil trolls from Sports Illustrated, doing their best to jinx the Irish by putting not just a gold Notre Dame helmet on the cover this week .... not just Touchdown Jesus' reflection in said helmet .... but a subhead in Latin: Miraculum Dominae Nostrae MMXII.

They're doomed. Or USC is.
