Dense fog advisory

The National Weather Service has issued a dense fog advisory until 9 a.m. today for the Indiana counties of Adams, Allen, Blackford, Cass, DeKalb, Elkhart, Fulton, Grant, Huntington, Kosciusko, LaGrange, Marshall, Miami, Noble, Pulaski, Steuben, Wabash, Wells, White and Whitley.

Widespread dense fog is developing overnight because of high pressure overhead along with light winds, residual moisture and clear skies with near-zero visibility at times. The fog will persist through daybread before lifting.

Travel will be affected throughout northeast Indiana including the corridors of Interstate 80. U.S. 6 and U.S. 30.

A dense fog advisory means visibility will frequently be reduced to less than one-quarter mile. Drivers should slow down, use their headlights and leave plenty of distance between vehicles.
