Police release video in Dollar General holdup

– Police are still looking for a man who robbed a discount store on the city’s northeast side Tuesday.

The man entered Dollar General, 6416 E. State Blvd., at 2:20 p.m., according to a Fort Wayne Police Department report.

The robber approached the cashier as if to make a purchase. He then pulled a handgun and demanded money from the register. After collecting an undisclosed amount of cash, he fled east on foot. There were no injuries reported, police said.

Police released surveillance photos of the robbery on Wednesday.

The man was described as in his early 20s and Hispanic or white with a pockmarked face, a discolored left eye and a scraggly mustache. He was last seen wearing a burnt orange-colored hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and black shoes.

Anyone with information about recent robberies is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 436-7867.
